Investit, an investment management consultancy providing operational advice and research to the fund management industry, has appointed Mark Hunter as a Sales Specialist.

Hunter will work within Investit Intelligence, the research division of Investit, which delivers products and services that aim to provide intelligence on key trends and issues. He will report to Catherine Doherty, Principal, Investit. His appointment boosts the firm to eight members.

Hunter joins from SalesLogic Associates, a professional sales outsourcing and sales consulting firm which he set up in 2003 to provide business development services to the financial information services sector. Prior to this, he led the European operations of Capital Access International, a provider of specialist fixed income research to the financial services sector. He spent two years at Capital Access, as Senior Vice President, Sales & Operations – Europe.

Hunter began his career at Thomson Financial in 1991 and held various senior management positions during his ten years there, including managing the European operations of First Call Institutional Services and The Investext Group.

As Sales Specialist, Hunter will formulate, direct and implement sales and marketing of Investit Intelligence products, primarily to COOs.
