UK construction company William Davis has implemented Eiger Systems’ EigerPAY Gateway solution in a move that provides the company with access to BACSTEL-IP, BACS’ new payment submission platform. All BACS Originators must migrate from the existing BACSTEL delivery channel to BACSTEL-IP by 31st December 2005.
Paul Pearce, IT Manager at William Davis, commented: “The move to BACSTEL-IP gave us the opportunity to re-evaluate our existing BACSTEL system and ensure that any new technology we implemented would meet our needs both now and into the future. Critical in making our decision was the fact we wanted a client-server solution that could be securely integrated within our existing network and we were finding that many of the other available solutions were based around a single PC.
From the outset it was clear that EigerPAY Gateway would be a perfect fit as a replacement for our current BACSTEL solution. It has given us the flexibility we were looking for, enabling us to allocate different tasks to each user, whilst still ensuring that sensitive data is secure and cannot be viewed or edited by unauthorised persons.”
