Clearstream, a European supplier of of post-trading services and a subsidiary of the Deutsch Boerse Group, has committed to the European Central Bank’s TARGET2-Securities IT2SI project.
Today is the deadline for Central Securities Depositories and International Central Securities Depositories to confirm they will support the T2S project.
According to the European Central Bank, TARGET2-Securities will be a Eurosystem-run platform for the cross-border and domestic settlement of securities against central bank money. The T2S project pursues cost reduction by increasing competition and price transparency.
