Clear2Pay, the international technology provider of next generation payment solutions for financial institutions, announced the implementation of its combined SEPA Direct Debit and SEPA Credit Transfer service at PBS, a Danish payment provider.

PBS will launch the SEPA service to corporate initiators (creditors) as well as debtor and creditor banks in Denmark and across the European community. To date 117 financial institutions have signed up for the direct debit payment processing service.

“Although Denmark is currently not in the Euro zone, our customers that do business in the EU-market need to be SEPA compliant and as the leading payments provider in the region we want to be first to market with SEPA related services,” says Flemming L. Jensen, CEO of PBS. “After a careful selection process we opted for Clear2Pay’s SEPA solution because it offers both the future proven technology we were looking for as well as the functionality we need to process credit transfers and direct debits for debtor and creditor banks and corporate creditors in a multi-bank, multi-currency environment.”
