Citi has appointed David Tenney to its prime brokerage business as a managing director and regional head of sales for the Americas.
In this role, Tenney will manage the firm’s unified hedge fund sales efforts across Prime Brokerage, Securities Lending and Delta One. Tenney will be based in New York and report to Alan Pace, global head of Sales and Client Experience, David Murphy, head of Prime Finance for the Americas and John Gallo, head of North American Sales.
Tenney was most recently a managing director and head of client relations at Forester Capital. Prior to Forester Capital, he was a managing director at Russell Investments leading its alternative investments business including Hedge Funds, Real Estate, Commodities, Infrastructure and Private Equity. He also spent 21 years at Goldman Sachs and held a variety of management roles across the firm’s Securities and Investment Research Divisions.
This appointment follows the the appointment of Matthew Clark as a managing director of Prime Brokerage last month.
