Citi’s Global Transaction Services business has appointed Marion Mulvey as the Head of Alternative Investment Administration Services for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Gavan McGuire as the Director of Alternative Investment Services Sales for EMEA.

Citi offers alternative investment managers an end-to-end set, flexible alternative investment solutions – including fund administration, middle office solutions, custody and prime finance. These two appointments underscore Citi’s continued investment and commitment to the Alternative Investment business in EMEA.

With her new role as the Head of Alternative Investment Administration Services for EMEA, Marion will be responsible for the overall management of the business in EMEA and will report directly to Andrew Gelb, Head of Securities and Fund Services for EMEA and to Robert Wallace, Global Head of Fund Services. With over 18 years of experience in the financial services industry, 11 of which have been spent with Citi, Marion has progressed through various management positions prior to her new role. Most recently Marion was Head of Fund Accounting for Citi. She is a Fellow of the Irish Institute of Chartered Accountants, Marion will be based in Dublin.

Gavan returns to Citi as the Director of Alternative Investment Services Sales for EMEA and will be looking to grow the alternatives business across the region, reporting into Richard Ernesti, Global Head of Investor Services Client & Sales Management.

Prior to joining Citi, Gavan acted as the Chief Financial Officer for Agilo, a distressed debt hedge fund. Ahead of this role, Gavan was the Vice President of Business Development for BISYS Hedge Fund Services, where he spent six years looking after sales and relationship management, which was later acquired by Citi in 2007. Gavan will be based in London.

“Both Marion and Gavan are outstanding individuals with tremendous understanding and expertise in the alternative investment space,” says Andrew Gelb, head of securities and fund services for EMEA, Citi. “These appointments are demonstrative of Citi’s commitment to continue to strengthen our Alternative Investment business and provide our clients with the expertise and solutions to meet their needs”.
