HSBC Corporate, Investment Banking and Markets (CIBM) says Christophe Chazot has joined as Managing Director, Global Head of Structured Equity.

Chazot joins HSBC from Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DrKW), where he held a number of roles, most recently as Head of Proprietary Trading.

Until 2003 he was Global Head of Equity Derivatives at the bank. Prior to joining DrKW in 1999, he was Global Head of FX Options at Bankers Trust. From 1991 to 1993 he worked at Barclays de Zoete Wedd as a swaps trader.

Chazot joined HSBC in July and will be based in Paris.
