Gary Wright of CityCompass Research, which runs operational systems benchmarking exercises, says CheckFree has become the latest vendor to enter its Benchmarking of International Systems and Services (B.I.S.S.) corporate actions benchmarking study for 2006.
“CheckFree has always shown its commitment to the B.I.S.S. Corporate Actions benchmarking accreditation and the CheckFree eVentT solution has operated well under close scrutiny,” says Wright, Managing Director of CityCompass Research. “I understand that CheckFree has further developed the corporate actions functionality within its solution this year. We look forward to providing the usual rigorous B.I.S.S. assessment to prove how well CheckFree eVent performs.”
Announcements of the vendors who have achieved this year’s B.I.S.S. Corporate Actions Accreditation will be made during SIBOS in Sydney between 9 and 13 October.
Geoff Harries, director, securities product management, CheckFree Software, says that CheckFree has continued to invest in eVent since acquiring the Heliograph business that created it. “CheckFree’s participation with industry benchmarks such as B.I.S.S. further reflects our commitment to product and thought leadership in the corporate actions space,” he says. “We look forward to working with City Compass Research and demonstrating how CheckFree eVent’s capabilities are designed to enable companies to better manage risk and the complexity associated with corporate actions processing. CheckFree eVent achieved the B.I.S.S. 2005 Gold Accreditation for Corporate Actions Systems. This designation, along with the SWIFT accreditation, further demonstrates CheckFree’s strong commitment to technology leadership in the corporate actions space. “
