Charles Bryant has been appointed as a Director of the Misys Financial Services Division, which supplies software and services to product providers and intermediaries in the UK Life and General Insurance markets.
He will have board level responsibility to deliver the Expansion Project, announced on 18 July 2002, and prepare the Life and Pensions businesses for a flotation within two years.
Charles joined Misys in April 1999 as Corporate Development Officer. Since joining the Group, he has completed over 20 corporate transactions, including the acquisitions of Financial Options Group Limited, i.e. group plc, DBS Management plc and the AssureWeb joint venture with Clerical Medical, Friends Provident, Norwich Union and Scottish Widows.
Prior to joining Misys, Charles worked in the mergers and acquisitions department of investment bank Credit Suisse First Boston.
