Carne Global Financial Services Group, a financial consulting company servicing asset managers and their service providers, has added a Luxembourg office to its network, plus two new directors to run it.

Carne Luxembourg will be headed by managing director, Paul Guillaume, a former vice president and head of sales and marketing for State Street Luxembourg. Guillaume has over 20 years of experience in Luxembourg financial services, previously holding senior investment and marketing positions at four other companies.

Another addition to the company is Tracey McDermott, who was appointed director and senior consultant. McDermott left her position as general manager of PFPC International, Luxembourg, to join Carne.

“This is an important strategic move for Carne,” says John Donohoe, chief executive of Carne in Ireland. “Luxembourg is the largest fund market in Europe and continues to grow at a good pace. We believe we are in an ideal position to help our clients manage and exploit this growth. We are delighted to have Paul and Tracey onboard. They are both highly respected in the market and they are the right caliber people to enable Carne to forge a leadership position in the Luxembourg market. “We are looking forward to assisting traditional and alternative asset managers and their service providers in the Luxembourg market in areas such as product development, project management, training, taxation services, and fund distribution.”
