BTIG Australia, which provides institutional trading and related brokerage services, has hired two traders for its Sydney-based office.
Leo Borovilas joins BTIG as a senior trader on the institutional sales desk. Borovilas has previously held senior positions at Austock Securities, Bell Potter and J.P. Morgan and has over 20 years’ of experience working across Asia Pacific, US and UK markets.
Andrew Best also joins BTIG as a senior trader on the institutional sales desk. Best has previously held management positions at J.P. Morgan Securities, Citigroup Global Markets and Macquarie Equities Limited.
Recently, BTIG appointed of Marco Frigeri to its New York-based international equities desk as a managing director and sales trader.
Frigeri most recently traded in international markets for HSBC and has also worked as a senior sales trader at Goldman Sachs and Barclays, specialising in Latin American Markets. His appointment is part of the firms push into Latin America and Canada, with further plans for global expansion in the near future.
