BT Syntegra has unveiled ITS.Netrix, a new multimedia desktop device, and ITS Hotlink, a new collaborative application developed for use with Cisco IP phones.

BT Syntegra aims with ITS.Netrix to give users needed a device giving them central control of all their communication channels – including voice, video, instant messaging, email and web communications. The company says it has already sold over 1,000 positions of ITS.Netrix, which will be deployed from June 2004. When coupled with ITS Myriad, BT Syntegra’s multi-channel integration framework, ITS.Netrix can alert users to high priority incoming instant messages or emails, key words appearing in chat rooms, clients accessing particular research on the bank’s web site or client orders reaching specified limits. BT Syntegra claims ITS.Netrix is the first desktop device to offer connectivity to both IP (Internet Protocol) and traditional voice (TDM) networks.

ITS Hotlink enables Cisco IP phone users to access the functionality of the ITS voice trading platform. It allows non-turret users the ability to handle queries and delegate administrative tasks. It is also compatible with Cisco wireless phones, to increase mobility for traders. “Sales people and back office staff can view private wire calls and choose whether to handle them whilst away from their desk,” says BT Styntegra. “All calls, whether on the Cisco IP phone or the ITS Turret, are recorded as normal via ITS to a voice recorder.”
