Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) has raised Thomas E. Berk to a partnership. This brings the total number of general partners to 40.

Thomas E. Berk, 41, joined BBH in 1995 as the manager of the firm’s information systems, and has overseen development of BBH’s data warehouse as well as its cash and securities processing systems. In this role he was also responsible for BBH’s euro and Y2K conversion efforts.

Berk was appointed a Managing Director of the firm in 2000 and given responsibility for BBH’s IT infrastructure. In 2001, he was named the firm’s Chief Information Officer.

Berk earned a BS in Computer Science from Drexel University in 1986, and spent several years in the brokerage services industry prior to joining BBH.

He resides in Belle Mead, New Jersey with his wife Chris and his two children.
