Brenda Petsche was recently appointed head of the Guernsey office of Alternative Fund Services, the hedge fund administration arm of HSBC Securities Services, created out of the Bank of Bermuda acquisition. Petsche began on 1 July 2006 and is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations of the Guernsey office and for implementing the division’s global strategy.
“It’s an exciting time to head the Guernsey administration business which continues to experience exceptional growth globally,” says Petsche. “I look forward to the continued success of AFS and serving fund administrators who face the ongoing and constantly changing needs of fund managers.”
Petsche joined Bank of Bermuda in Guernsey in March 2001, heading up the operation’s valuation department. She was promoted to Head of Fund Administration in June 2005.
Prior to joining HSBC, she worked at TD Bank in Toronto, Canada Trust (until its acquisition by TD Bank), CIBC Mutual Funds and Global Strategy Funds.
