BNY Brokerage – a Bank of New York subsidiary – has linked ts DEx (Direct Execution Services) trading platform with Linedata Services’ LongView Trading order management system (OMS), expanding the trading capabilities of its clients and giving them electronic direct access to all electronic markets.

The link gives LongView Trading clients direct market access by allowing them to direct order flow from their desktops through BNY Brokerage’s SonicSuite of services. Money managers using LongView Trading can now access the Sonic Port front-end to work orders directly into the marketplace to reach all points of liquidity including ECNs and Nasdaq’s order routing systems, as well as the NYSE and other exchanges.

Through this integrated platform, clients can take advantage of the full range of SonicSuite’s services, including sophisticated trading order types, such as pegging and discretion; SonicSmart(SM), a proprietary smart order routing algorithm; web-based trade data reporting; built-in risk management tools; a FIX API connection; and a dedicated and professional trade support unit.

“As BNY Brokerage expands its SonicPort platform, we believe our clients will benefit from having access to this superior direct access tool through LongView Trading,” says Annie Morris, senior vice president of Linedata Services. “The high degree of integration between the two platforms streamlines the trading process, giving traders immediate electronic access to market data and sophisticated order types that can enhance their trading strategies.”
