BISYS Retirement Services said in a press release last week that its ERISAEDGE program, a series of interactive Web-based conferences concerning relevant legislative and regulatory topics for the retirement industry, has performed better than expected.

The company began offering the Web casts in July 2005, said since then, the program has been extremely popular with clients. More than 500 financial advisors and plan sponsors are reported to have used the service.

“Online polling during ERISAEDGE Web casts has revealed that of the six sessions we’ve offered to date, more than 95 percent of attendees plan to attend a future program. In addition, more than 75 percent agree that the session they attended was useful to their retirement plan responsibilities,” said Todd Berghuis, vice president, ERISA Support & Consulting Services for BISYS Retirement Services. “We attribute much of the program’s success to the interaction that occurs between the audience and our specialists who are experts in the field.”

ERISAEDGE enables attendees to stay abreast of important rule changes, topical information and updates, including Roth 401(k) plans, Safe Harbor plans, cross testing, automatic enrollment plans and new 401 (k) regulations. The sessions are offered at no cost. Future session topics include EGTRRA restatements, compliance testing and new retirement plan options.
