Financial News has reported that hedge fund Voyager Management, has hired Anne Marie Gagnon, the former executive director of the alternative investment group at Morgan Stanley. She has been named a partner, and will be responsible for the global marketing and distribution of the firm’s funds.
Gagnon has 20 years experience in portfolio management, mainly working with hedge funds, private clients, insurance companies and institutional investors.
At Morgan Stanley she aided in building a Hedge Funds of Funds platform, which included both private and registered funds, for distribution into the Firm’s Global Wealth Management Division.
Previously, she has worked for JP Morgan as a portfolio manager responsible for product development of their alternative investment business. Prior to this, as CIO of Partner Re and SVP at XL Capital, she managed invested assets including both traditional and alternative assets globally.
She studied at Bowdoin College with a double major in government and psychology. She is a member of the International Society of Financial Analysts and is a Founding Angel Sponsor of “100 Women in Hedge Funds”.
