AFA Systems, a provider of software to the banking and fund management industries, has formed a strategic partnership with Systemy Informacyjne Kapitał S.A., a Polish company. The partnership agreement will uses AFA Systems’ Trading, Capital Markets and Risk Management system (Musketeer) in conjunction with the AFA Gateway Server, to offer STP solutions to Polish banks.
Kapital sell automated foreign exchange and money marketing trading systems. The partnership agreement will enable AFA Systems to capitalise on Kapital’s local contacts, while Kapital will benefit from AFA Systems’ ability to provide a back office connection for Kapital’s trading solutions.
“With Poland entering the European Union, there is a greater demand for trading in new instruments and increased levels of risk control,” says John Barratt, Business Development Manager, AFA Systems. “Banks have to consider better ways of minimising risk and improving STP. Implementing these types of changes can be expensive and the cost of replacing systems is often prohibitive.
