Ed Ritter Quits Deutsche For Barclays Capital

Barclays Capital announced today that Edward Ritter had joined the firm as Director, US Government Trading, in New York. Ritter joins the firm after 13 years with Deutsche Bank Securities, where he most recently was a US Government Bond Trader responsible for flow and proprietary trading in short maturities. Prior to that he was a Finance Trader, where he was responsible for trading overnights, off-the-run coupons, bills, agencies and term repos.

In his new role, Ritter will be responsible for market making in the short coupon sector of the government curve. Based in New York, he will report to John Roberts, Managing Director and Head of the US Primary Dealership. “Ed’s wealth of experience, market expertise, and client relationships will add substantially to our growing business in the US Government Bond market,” says Roberts. “We’re very excited to have him on board and look forward to Ed’s many contributions.”

Ritter received his MBA from the University of Chicago and his AB in Economics from Princeton University.
