SunGard says it has installed a link between its InvestarONE mutual fund accounting system and the VisionT Web portal owned by BISYS Fund Services. The aim is to allow fund accountants to access real-time investment information across multiple mutual fund groups through a single log-on. With the implementation of this link, SunGard’s Investar ONE customers can participate in either the Vision or AdvisorCentral Web portals serving financial advisors. SunGard installed a connection to the AdvisorCentral portal in December 2002.

“Today’s industry is generating unprecedented competitive demands for investment managers,” says Fred Naddaff, president of BISYS Fund Services. “BISYS is fundamentally committed to providing the flexible, state-of-the-art solutions that enable our clients to pro – actively respond to these demands and the dynamic industry trends. We believe that providing our clients with the ability to leverage the Vision and/or AdvisorCentral Web portals is an important aspect of our overall technology and product strategy, and we are pleased that our expanding alliance with SunGard has once again allowed us to offer our clients a competitively distinct industry- and client-driven initiative.”

According to Ken Kempf, president of mutual fund accounting at SunGard Investor Accounting Systems Accounting, the real-time capabilities and open architecture of the InvestarONE system are suited to interaction with Web portals and other e-business applications. “Linking the Vision and AdvisorCentral Web portals with the InvestarONE system is another example of our commitment to provide comprehensive distribution capabilities,” he says.
