The 1st annual conference “The future of Capital Markets in the Balkans” will be held in Belgrade from June, 6th to 7th, 2005.
The conference is organised by the ‘Ekonomist’, a weekly business publication in Serbia. HVB Bank Serbia and Montenegro is one of the main sponsors of the event.
‘Ekonomist’ cites the following goals for the conference: Focus on key issues in the development of financial markets in the entire region of South Eastern Europe, and networking designed to bring in SEE state officials, investors and market professionals.
Discussions and presentations will cover in-depth the topics relevant to all market participants such as Investors, Governments, Regulators, Central Banks, Brokers and Custody Banks. The main focus will be on issues of further development of Balkan region’s capital markets and improvements necessary to be done in order to create an attractive environment for foreign portfolio investments.
