BT Group plc, provider of communications applications and services, has awarded a contract to RBS for cash management in North America, extending the solution already implemented in Europe.
The banking application provided to BT Global Services International includes domestic cash management to support electronic and paper based payments, receipts and liquidity management via RBS Access Direct host to-host channel. BT benefits from RBS global network and scalable platforms to deliver a cross regional solution. The advantages include a simple and short implementation process, consistent service levels and a single channel for communication and reporting.
“The goal is to mirror the high quality of service in Europe to North America,” says Robbin Snijders, group treasurer, BT Global Services International. “The key reason for selecting RBS has been the willingness to deliver a tailored solution, together with a strong management team, who provided a consultative approach throughout the implementation, listening to our key requirements.”
“We are very excited to be the primary bank for BT in Europe and now North America,” says Brian Stevenson, chief executive, global transaction services, RBS. “We look forward to providing them with a comprehensive and streamlined solution, maximising efficiencies and minimising funding costs. Our focus will be on delivering a solution that helps BT maintain a competitive edge in todays rapidly changing environment.”
