Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of Barclays PLC, announced that it has appointed Gerard LaRocca CEO of Barclays Capital Inc., the firm’s US broker-dealer. In that role, LaRocca will report jointly to Grant Kvalheim, Co-President of Barclays Capital and Regional Head of the Americas, and Rich Ricci, Chief Operating Officer.
LaRocca, who is CAO, Americas, and Global Head of Operations, has been with Barclays Capital since 1998. He was previously CFO for Barclays Capital from 1999 to 2001. He has more than 20 years of experience in the investment banking industry and previously worked at Salomon Brothers.
