A Dutch appeals court on Thursday ruled that Goldman Sachs and ABN Amro had misled investors when they underwrote the IPO in 2000 of Dutch internet service provider World Online. VEB, a Dutch investor group that filed a class-action lawsuit naming Goldman, ABN and World Online, could seek hundreds of millions of euros in damages, as a result of the seven-year-old case.
