Wolters Kluwer Financial Services has hired Clive Pedder as managing director, Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) where he will be responsible for leading the firm’s growth strategy in the region.

Before coming to Wolters Kluwer, Pedder built up over thirty years of experience in the financial technology sector, serving most recently as executive vice president of SunGard’s Capital Markets business. Pedder came to SunGard after serving on the senior management team at GL Trade, which was sold to SunGard in 2008. Prior to GL Trade, Pedder served as COO for Misys and CEO for Misys’ Wholesale Banking and Asset Management businesses.

“Clive brings great experience and a track record of delivery to his role as managing director EMEA, following senior leadership positions at some of the industry’s leading financial technology companies,” says Raffi Festekjian, CEO of Wolters Kluwer Financial Services’ Finance Risk & Compliance unit.

“I’m delighted to have joined Wolters Kluwer Financial Services to help drive the growth of the business, particularly given the challenges institutions face today in complying with regulatory requirements and improving their risk management and performance practices,” says Pedder. “We are in a very strong position with the launch of Summix, our finance, risk, regulatory reporting and performance solution suite and I am greatly looking forward to the opportunities that lay ahead.”
