Wipro Technologies, IT services provider, has developed Communication & Collaboration Solutions, which works with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007. With the implementation of this version Wipro will provide customers with customized domain specific applications.
Customers can now leverage the existing Exchange Server 2007 & telephony environments without any additional investments. The new release builds on the software-based unified communications application with important new functionalities like dial-in audio conferencing bridge persistent group chat; Improved Software Development Kits; Audio, Video and IM Conferencing; Microsoft Office Live Meeting hosted on premise; Session and provides call-management, routing, and monitoring tools.
Wipro has deployed Office Communications Server 2007 to more than 80 customers. These organizations range in size from 10,000 to 80,000 employees.
In case of a healthcare provider this software will enable the physician to have access to internal portals for patient history, prescription test reports from a Windows handheld device or a computer.
In addition healthcare practitioner can see the presence of his/her colleagues on the portal and communicate with them using IM, audio or video. This offers faster and efficient communication and anywhere access critical for the healthcare industry.
