Ashley Wilson will join Deutsche Bank as global head of Synthetics in January 2014, Global Custodian has learned.
Wilson joins from Barclays Capital, where he oversaw the bank’s prime services franchise across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Before joining Barclays Capital in 2009, he was previously at Bank of America Merrill Lynch for three years as managing director and head of Global Market Financing and Services, EMEA.
In his new, London-based role, Wilson will report to U.S.-based Barry Bausano, co-head of prime finance, and U.K.-based Murray Roos, who in addition to his current role as co-head of European equities, takes on an expanded role as co-head of prime finance. Roos replaces Jon Hitchon, who has left Deutsche Bank after 15 years with the bank.
Deutsche Bank declined to comment.
