Sindel Asset Management has registered with NFA as a new Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA) and Commodity Pool Operator (CPO) and will launch a “Diversified Program” in January 2005. At least according to William D. Sindel, the founder and managing partner.

Sindel has been active in the futures and commodities markets since 1987, initially as a trader at COMEX and NYMEX. In 2000, he launched Experior Capital with a partner. It split this year, when the partners agreed to split in order to pursue the evolution of their own trading programs in separate ways.

Sindel’s new programme trades a broad basket of commodities designed to achieve steady long-term results while restricting volatility and managing risk to constrain drawdowns. “I have improved upon the models that were successfully employed at Experior Capital,” he says. “We achieved high performance ratings for three straight years, and I now believe I can achieve better risk adjusted returns with the improved trading program that will be the hallmark of Sindel Asset Management.”

Sindel began designing and building commodity trading models in 1995 based upon many of the technical analysis techniques he learned and practiced over 13-years in the futures pits of the New York Commodity Exchange Inc. (COMEX), where he traded gold futures, and the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), where he traded natural gas futures. He left the trading floor in 2000.

Sindel began his professional career in the equities market at Bear Steans and Co.

Sindel Asset Management is a Commodity Trading Advisor and Commodity Pool Operator. The firm designs technical trend following trading models that allow investors to access the commodity futures markets in order to gain the benefits of diversification including the potential for performance that is uncorrelated with traditional equity and fixed income markets. Sindel Asset Management is headquartered in Scotch Plains, New Jersey.
