Wiet Pot has joined IMC, a diversified company engaged in financial markets around the world, as co-CEO.

His appointment is approved by De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB), the Central Bank of the Netherlands.

Pot will be co-CEO, a position he jointly shares with CEO and IMC founder Rob Defares. Pots focus areas are strategy, business development and client facing activities. With Wiet Pot joining the company, the executive board of IMC consists of three people: Rob Defares, Osi Lilian and Wiet Pot.

Pot worked for Goldman Sachs for 17 years, as a partner since 1994 and most recently as co-COO of the Equities Division worldwide. Between 2003 and 2004 he was first advisor and subsequently, for a short period, a member of the executive board of Hagemeyer. Between 2003 and 2004 he was a member of the supervisory board of Kempen & Co and between 2004 and 2006 he was executive chairman of the board.

IMC was founded in 1989 and has developed into one of the dominant market participants in derivatives trading globally. The companys headquarters are in Amsterdam.
