WestAM, the €38 billion global institutional asset management firm, has announce d the appointment of Ian Williams as Head of UK New Business Development and Client Service.

Williams’s role will be to increase WestAM’s presence and client base in the UK. This will involve developing new and existing relationships with key institutional prospects and consultants. Williams will head up a UK team initially consisting of 3 people, and will report directly to Luke Nunneley, WestAM’s Global CEO.

Williams joins WestAM from Morley Fund Management. He was Deputy Director of UK Marketing at Norwich Union Investment Management from 1991 until their merger with CGU to form Morley Fund Management in July 2000. Following the merger, he was appointed Head of UK Institutional Sales for Morley.
