Wells Fargo Launches Digital Fund Performance Platform

Wells Fargo Global Fund Services has launched a new analytical platform for hedge funds and private equity funds, as fund administrators continue to venture into new digital solutions.

The platform, Fund View, will allow fund managers to analyse and manage their middle-and back-office operations, fund accounting, regulatory and investor servicing functions.

“Fund View provides managers with operational information on a real-time basis enabling them to better manage and analyse post-trade activities,” says Christopher Kundro, head of Global Fund Services, Wells Fargo.

‘It will provide our customers with the critical information they need for monitoring and measuring operational activities, analysing and mitigating operational risk, and ultimately ensuring that their funds are operating efficiently and effectively.”

It also provides full lifecycle transparency and reporting across all middle- and back-office activities outsourced to Wells Fargo, including trade capture, securities/cash reconciliation, settlement, cash and collateral management, and asset servicing.

Fund administrators have made increasing steps into digitilisation, as fund managers continue to demand for ‘big data’ to analyse the performance of their funds.

Last week, BNP Paribas Securities Services launched a Data Navigation Analysis (DNA) service, a hedge fund data management solution showing clients trade failures, risk exposures, investment performance, upcoming corporate actions, and other operational, investment and accounting data.
