Jay Welker, a Wells Fargo executive, has been named the head of wealth management operations for the combined entity which will emerge following the Californian lender’s takeover of Wachovia, its East Coast rival, according to a report in Charlotte Observer.
Danny Ludeman, who leads the Wachovia Securities stock broker arm, will preside over the merged brokerage group, while Wachovia’s John Papadopulos has been appointed as chief of the retirement services group.
