The Warsaw Stock Exchange has expressed their interest in a possible connection with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange in Slovenia. Their aim is to create an international web of Stock Exchanges in central and south eastern Europe.
“We don’t intend to solely be a financial investor,” says Ludwik Sobolewski of the Warsaw Stock Exchange. “We want to connect both markets and to establish an alliance between the two exchanges.”
“According to market capitalisation the Warsaw Stock Exchange is one of the biggest Exchanges in central and eastern Europe,” says a spokesperson for BA-CA. “A connection between the two exchanges would be a positive step for both parties.”
