The bi-weekly newsletter Private Asset Management named Wachovia as the top high-net-worth leader, at the publication’s fourth annual award ceremony in New York.

Wachovia beat out three nominees for the newsletter’s highest honour. The other contenders were Citigroup, Lehman Brothers and Wilmington.

Other award categories included: Stanley Pantowich, co-founding partner of TAG Associates; lifetime achievement award; Leonard Kaplan, family group of the year; Smith Barney, platform provider of the year; Wilmington Trust, advertising campaign of the year; Silvercrest Asset Management Group, advisory/multi-family office of the year.

The nominees and winners were selected by the editorial staff of the newsletter, with some input from the industries considered.
