Fund administration provider Vistra has made two senior appointments as it continues to rapidly grow its team, which has risen in numbers exponentially over the past decade.

The additions will see a new chief commercial officer (CCO) and managing director of the UK, Ireland, Channel Islands, and the Middle East.

William Douglas joins as CCO from JLL, having previously held commercial, marketing and operations leadership roles at Samsung Electronics and Blackberry in London, New York and Toronto.

Derek Kemp will become responsible for the leadership and development of Vistra’s businesses in the UK, Ireland, Channel Islands, and the Middle East, supporting the broader growth ambition of the organisation globally.

Kemp’s combined area accounts for 20% of Vistra’s global business.

Based in London, both will sit on Vistra’s Executive Committee, directly reporting to Alan Brown, chief executive officer, Vistra,

“William joins Vistra at a critical stage of our growth journey and I am confident that his experience in driving strategic commercial growth will help us achieve our ambitious goals and deliver stronger service to our clients – helping them maximise their business opportunities,” said Brown.

“The combination of Derek’s proven leadership skills and results-driven approach will be instrumental in building on Vistra’s outstanding reputation in the industry.”

Vistra has been adding a swathe of talent to its team over the past decade, bringing its numbers from 250 people in 2008 to 4,300 in 2019.

Last month the fund administrator added 25-year Citi veteran, Jervis Smith, as its country managing director for Luxembourg.

Vistra also added Eric Lodge as senior director, client services and Stephen  Smith as sales director, Canada, days later, as part of its efforts to bolster its client services and sales teams in North America.
