Vicente Olmos Ibanez, until now the CFO of the Valencia stock exchange, has been appointed Head of Internal Audit of BME. He will replace retiring Juan Fernandez Magaz, who has held this position for the last few years.
Through the verification of internal controls, the Internal Audit Department provides Senior Managers with information and recommendations on the different procedures and company regulations as well as their continuing improvement. As the new Head of this department has stated, this task is carried out from the standpoint of the provision of a service to the governing bodies.
Vicente Olmos Ibanez holds a Degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Universidad de Valencia. Since 1979 he has worked as a civil servant for the Cuerpo Especial de Gestiуn de la Hacienda Publica, specialising in Auxiliary Inspection, now on leave. He has also held the position of Auditor of Accounts registered with the Accounts Auditors Registry. Since 1991 he has worked as Comptroller at the Valencia stock exchange.
