The combined assets of the US exchange-traded funds (ETFs) were $348.05 billion in August, rising by $11.13 billion (3.3%), according to the Investment Company Institute (ICI). Over the past 12 months, ETF assets increased $96.56 billion, or 38.39%, according to the report. Assets in domestic equity ETFs have increased $50.03 billion since August 2005, and global equity ETFs assets rose $41.29 billion during this period.
