Market Wire, a Us-based distributor of company press releases and news, has reached a reciprocal agreement with the London Stock Exchange’s Regulatory News Service (RNS).

Market Wire will now offer public companies requiring regulatory compliance for their news distribution through the LSE.

“Our relationship with the London Stock Exchange’s Regulatory News Service marks a significant alliance for the company,” says Jim McGovern, president and CEO of Market Wire. “Through this alliance, IR professionals who use Market Wire will be able to distribute their news and benefit from the value-added services of the U.K’s market leader in the newswire industry.”

The agreement marks the second such relationship between Market Wire and a major market stock exchange. In May 2003, the company announced a strategic agreement with the NASDAQ stock exchange in the US.

“RNS is very selective about its partners and we were impressed with Market Wire’s reputation among its customers,” says Simon Wilkinson, Head of RNS at the London Stock Exchange. “RNS is committed to maintaining our leadership in providing regulatory news and we are sure that our agreement with Market Wire will deliver an even more effective and better value service for those of our customers who deliver regulatory news to the U.S.”
