Bottomline Technologies, a provider of collaborative payment and invoice automation applications, says that Unity Trust Bank, the specialist bank for membership organisations and charities, has selected Bottomline to provide its customers with a new online payments service.
Bottomline’s Web-based payments service is designed to enable organisations in the UK to initiate cost-effective BACS-compliant payments, collect direct debits and use the Automated Direct Debit Instruction Service (AUDDIS) for paperless direct debits.
“In conducting our evaluation of potential providers, it was clear that Bottomline possessed the industry expertise to deliver the type of payments bureau our customers desired,” says Neil Forman, the Electronic Banking Manager at Unity Trust Bank. “By selecting Bottomline to power the bank’s branded Unity e-Payment service, we can offer a three-tiered system providing a choice of options to our customers that best suits their individual needs.”
“We’ve been working closely with Unity Trust Bank as a strategic partner for several years on different electronic payment initiatives, and broadening the scope of the relationship to include an online payments bureau was a natural fit,” adds Chris Peck, the Europe Group Sales Director at Bottomline Technologies. “With our solution and market expertise, customers such as Unity Trust Bank can leave managing the technical aspects of the platform to us and focus their efforts on interacting with their customers.”
