UniCredit Markets & Investment Banking (UMIB) has appointed Klaus Swoboda as head of sales, reporting to Willi Hemetsberger, head of global markets and member of the executive committee.
Swoboda will join UMIB July 1. In his new role, he will be a member of the UMIB operating committee.
He joins UMIB from Merrill Lynch, where he was managing director responsible for fixed income sales for Germany and Austria and a member of the board of Merrill Lynch Capital Markets Bank Germany. He developed and established Merrill Lynch’s sales franchise and implemented a cross divisional approach, combining structured rates, structured credit and structured FX business solutions.
