According to the Deputy Chairman of Ukrtelecom, Artemiy Yershov, the company may place 3.9% of its shares via an IPO within the next six months, according to HVB.
Respective plans were discussed at the recent round table with the State Property Fund and the State Securities and Stock Market Commission where Yershov explained that currently the conditions for entering the IPO market are favourable and will allow for obtaining an accurate market value of the company. Ukrtelecom is Ukraine’s monopolist in the market of telecommunications, which services more than 9 million clients.
“In case the IPO plans of Ukrtelecom would become reality, new investment possibilities would be created for the investment community,” said Bohdana Yefremova, head of custody at HVB.
