UK Government net reserves fell by $481 million in May 2005, bringing the end-May total to $18,359 million (£10,074 million) compared with $18,841 million (£9,864 million) at end-April 2005.

Bank of England net holdings of foreign currency and gold also fell by $2 million in May 2005, bringing the end-May total to $111 million (£61 million) compared with $112 million (£59 million) at end-April 2005.
