With effect from 2 January 2008, Patrick Brazel and Geoffrey Bicknell will join the board of Brady plc as non-executive directors.
This follows the resignation of Graham Sinister and Neil McArthur on 31 December 2007, after a combined 15 years of service on the Brady board.
Brazel has many years’ experience at CEO and senior management levels in the banking, financial trading and technology markets. He has acted as CEO and chairman at a number of companies and spent almost a decade at Sungard, latterly as president of Sungard Capital Markets.
He has subsequently been instrumental in the development and progress of companies such as Sentry Financial Technology LLC, Eontec Ltd and GoldTier Technology LLC. He is also Chairman of the Irish Software Association.
Bicknell has held executive directorships in a number of companies including TI Group Plc, Lucas Industries, Maxima Holdings Plc and Northgate Information Solutions Plc. At present he is serving as a non-executive director for Trafficmaster plc and Acta Spa, an AIM-listed company.
“We recently announced ambitious plans for international growth, and Patrick and Geoffrey will play an important role as non-execs on the Brady board; both have a great deal of experience that will be of significant benefit for Brady, strengthening our position of supplying global enterprise-level risk management and trading systems to our core markets. I would also like to thank Graham and Neil for their expertise and commitment to Brady over so many years of service,” says Paul Fullagar, chairman, Brady plc.
