Global Advisors launched two new funds Thursday designed to broaden its product offerings.

Both funds officially went live Thursday and deal primarily with commodity trading.

The first of the funds, the Global Commodity Systematic Fund, offers short and long-term exposure and diversification in the commodity sector by trading inter- and intra-commodity spreads and outright commodities.

The second fund, the Global Commodity Index Plus Fund, is a long-term fund that trades GSCI commodities.

Both funds are based on quantitative models that Global developed in-house and have a minimum investment of $250,000.
