Tuesday Movers: Vroegop Named Head of Consultant Relations EMEA at State Street; Melvan Gets Board Position at BNY Mellon Service KAG

State Street has appointed Simone Vroegop to head of consultant relations for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) while Katarina Melvan is appointed as a member of the executive board of BNY Mellon Service KAG.

State Street has appointed Simone Vroegop to head of consultant relations for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) with responsibility for expanding and strengthening relationships with consultants across a variety of markets.

Vroegop will be based in London and will report to Tim Caverly, executive vice president and head of State Streets Global Services sales and business development activities for EMEA and Wendy LaBonte, senior vice president and global head of consultant relations.

Vroegop was previously vice president and head of business development for State Streets Global Services business in the Netherlands, Belgium and the Nordic region.

Evert van den Brink will assume overall responsibility for sales and business development activities in the Netherlands, Belgium and Nordic region. Van den Brink is a senior vice president and manages similar teams in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In addition, Roel van de Wiel will continue to act as business development executive in the Amsterdam office.

BNY Mellon has appointed Katarina Melvan as a member of the executive board at BNY Mellon Service Kapitalanlage-Gesellschaft mbH, effective November 15 2012.

In her new role, Melvan will be responsible for operations including fund accounting, data management, risk controlling and compliance monitoring. Thomas Grnewald continues in his role as a member of the executive board at BNY Mellon Service KAG.

As managing director and head of Operations at BNY Mellon Asset Servicing, Melvan was previously responsible for securities operations and client services in Germany, together with depotbanking services for Continental Europe.

Melvan joined BNY Mellon in 2007; she previously held various management posts at other global custodians and major banks. She initially transferred across to BNY Mellon Service KAG to take the role of general representative on July 1, 2012.
