The Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) is freezing its plan to become a listed company, which was pushed back until March 2007, Taizo Nishimuro, the chairman of TSE announced.

Instead, TSE will more focus on enhancing its system capacity to be able to handle sudden increase in orders, in order to patch up blows to its credibility following one trading and technology debacle after another starting in November 2005, when it was forced to suspend trading for three hours.
