BNY Mellon has appointed Troy L. Kilpatrick as president of The Bank of New York Mellon Trust Company, N.A., the subsidiary of BNY Melon offering a range of trust, custody and agency services to issuers of debt and institutional investors.
Kilpatrick previously held the position from February 2009 to December 2010. He replaces Timothy Vara, who was recently named head of the Transaction Management Group for BNY Mellon Corporate Trust.
Kilpatrick joined BNY Mellon in 1999 and is head of client and business development in the U.S. for BNY Mellon Corporate Trust. In that role, he has primary responsibility for the U.S. corporate trust business, comprising over 12,000 clients in financial institutions, corporations, insurance companies and public, not-for profit entities.
Kilpatrick, who has more than 25 years experience in the corporate trust industry, has held a variety of management positions in operations, account administration and sales, and was most recently the head of global business development and marketing for BNY Mellon Corporate Trust.
“Troy has a deep understanding of the corporate trust needs of our clients and is helping to lead our efforts to develop innovative solutions. He is a well-known industry leader and the ideal choice for this strategically important position,” says Eric D. Kamback, CEO of BNY Mellon’s corporate trust business.
