SunGard Business Integration announced today that Travelex Corporate Foreign Exchange has selected the MINT SWIFTNet FIN solution to migrate from SWIFT’s X.25 network to the FIN services on the new SWIFTNet IP network.

MINT SWIFTNet acts as a central SWIFT message integration hub. Travelex already uses MINT Knowledge Broker to process Travellers Cheques and related international payments through SWIFT.

Stuart Boon, head of business solutions at Travelex, commented, “The MINT SWIFTNet solution provides us with a strategic SWIFTNet platform for our immediate needs and future growth ambitions. The migration to the new MINT platform consolidates our systems control on one, easy to use, flexible platform. This now allows us to have complete management over the message lifecycle, with customised views and secure access rights for critical parts of the message lifecycle. At Travelex, we view the MINT platform as a powerful business application rather than just another SWIFT gateway, because of the enhanced ability to monitor and control the messaging environment as part of a wider business process.”

Mark Rudland, UK managing director at SunGard Business Integration, commented, “We are delighted that Travelex has selected MINT technology as its strategic SWIFTNet migration platform. By adopting our ‘consolidated operations’ approach, Travelex has addressed both its short term SWIFTNet migration challenge and future-proofed its network operations to adopt further services cost effectively. The consolidated operations platform unifies the business, technical and IT interfaces for the whole message life cycle across multiple networks. We have enjoyed working with Travelex in the past and look forward to continuing our relationship further.”
