Transfer Solutions, Inc. (“TSI”), one of the mutual fund industry’s premier software development companies, has signed Baltimore-based InCap Group, Inc. “InCap”), and its Conshohocken, PA based servicing arm, InCap Service Company, as a client to utilize its Visual FAST transfer agency and shareholder accounting system, including VFWeb, the Internet component of the system.
Terence P. Smith, Managing Director of InCap indicated that the conversion to Visual FAST was “completely invisible to the thousands of shareholders we service, and extremely smooth for us internally as well.”
He declined to name the other systems that were considered, but said the selection of Visual FAST came from a final list of three. Smith indicated that screen logic, processing speed and Transfer Solutions’ Microsoft-based platform were key factors in the selection. VF Web, the integrated, user-friendly application that provides shareholders access to their accounts via the World Wide Web, will be particularly popular with shareholders, and can also be utilized by brokers and Registered Investment Advisors, Smith noted.
Brian Burden, Vice President at Transfer Solutions, indicated that InCap will use nearly all components available within Visual FAST, due to the broad nature of InCap’s third party mutual fund clients. “We are excited to be adding InCap to our growing family of clients, and pleased to be indirectly supporting so many different mutual fund organizations through InCap’s use of our systems.” Visual FAST is the firm’s flagship product, and is best known for its ease of use and for integrating Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft’s SQL/Server database, and Microsoft’s Component Object Model (COM) architecture, which enables extension and integration into large enterprise environments.
