MEFF trading reached 5,689,680 contracts in January, up 140% from the same month last year.

Highlights include Stock Futures, with 2,472,529 contracts and a 505% year on year increase, and IBEX 35 Options, with 893,565 contracts and a 141% rise relative to January 2007.

Growth on the ETF segment increased seven-fold compared to January 2007 and trading volume on the Corporate Debt market in January came in at 116.78 billionn – 14% up from the same month in 2007.
